WOMAN IN THE WOODS / JESABEL
"Woman in the Woods" is Jesabel's siren song for a special breed of woman. The bringers of light & truth. Those grounded in nature. Connected to their intuition, power & divinity. Breathing a fresh perspective on everything you thought you knew.
In a society currently built on botox and algorithm illusions, this other breed of woman is often misunderstood and typically an outcast, though let's be honest she has been for centuries. "The Woman in the Woods" is a storybook painting of the modern mystic retreating into nature but willing to guide and help those that seek her wisdom. She'll be the mirror to help you see your truest self, but will also let everything burn to the ground when it's time to rebuild something new. Sonically, this composition encompasses a dreamy ambience backdrop a fresh portrait of the divine feminine.
What better way to release such a mystical tale than to call the fairy forest of Sintra, Portugal home for a month? Similar to her last release of "We Both Know" in Paris, Jesabel fully immersed in the narrative by shacking up this time in a storybook cottage perched atop a mystical mountain. The music video visuals capture her cottage and the stunning forests of this mystically charged land. Collaborating with local creatives to bring these lyrics visually to life.

Singer-songwriter, Jesabel, is not your norm storybook musician. Only in the depths of losing herself as a new mom, did she find her way to music. And by find, we mean actually sing in front of another person, let alone play guitar yet. What a whirlwind it's been since then. Going from not singing in front of another soul, to teaching herself guitar to now being a full-time gigging musician, songwriter and recording artist.
Her sound continues to blur genre lines. Blending folk and pop with a sprinkle of soulful patina only a life well-lived provides. Her mantra is to stay present and just keep bringing to life the songs playing in her head. Free of genre restraints and societal expectations.
